A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My husband and I popped in after our son’s hockey game and loved everything about it. The service was super friendly and fast, the beer selection was great, and the food was awesome — especially for the value. Exactly the kind of lively, welcoming spot you hope to find after a game!"
"A Townie Haven I’ve driven past this establishment for 30 years and never stopped. Boy was I missing out. This coop is exactly what we’re all missing. There’s nothing like good old fashion townie bars to make you whole again. Stuffed Quahogs, pizza and buffalo chicken wraps lined the bar when I arrived. I went for the chicken parm sandwich with slaw. So good! Perfect combination of bread sauce, cheese and breaded chicken. Can’t help but love this place. A Gen X oasis. Low light, holiday vibes and good friendly timely service. Well chosen music serenades the audience. Truly enjoyed being this pleasantly surprised. Humble, friendly, happy people."
"The Red Rooster is such a great “ go to “ place. Have been coming to The Rooster for years. Am from Connecticut and grew up down the road. The food always spot on…..Chefs do a great job….Whatever you order……Partial to the steak tips….Seafood right there as well……The service always there to spoil and go the extra mile for a great experience…Steph and Kaley tonight. Brandon manager made sure all was awesome…..TOP NOTCH EXPERIENCE……!!!!!! THANK YOU TO THE RED ROOSTER STAFF….!!!!!!"
"Very good spot to have a beer, grab a pizza catch up with friends/family. Good music cozy, lots of history posted around. You would like being here."
"Great Irish pub with very friendly staff and patrons. The type of place people will move over to help you get a seat. I watched 2 strangers at a 4 top invite 2 people that were waiting for a table to sit with them. The atmosphere was great. It is kid friendly. There was live music playing on a Sunday afternoon. Just the right level so you could talk and not yell. My daughter and I each started with a Shirley Temple. I'm a big kid at heart. For an appetizer we each got a cup of their creamy, buttery, thick and absolutely delicious clam chowder! My daughter got the baha burger. She really liked it. The fries were crisp with a nice spice. I had a stuffed quohog, this was served hot with butter and lemon. This was so good. I had the garlic parmesan chicken wings. These were crispy, juicy on the inside, and the flavors were delicious! Some of the best I've had. The entire time the staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!"
"We were quite pleased with this bar and grill. It’s small and quaint with a good vibe. They have a nice patio to hang out on. All the food we tried was very good (pizza with a homemade crust, chipotle bbq wings, and onion rings) , and the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked appetizing, especially the steak tips. Service was on point with a friendly staff. We Would definitely revisit this place if we are back in town."
"What a nice place to grab dinner with your partner or group of friends. The bar area is small but welcoming. The food is way better than average on the whole but they have some amazing dishes. Outdoor dining in the back when it's warm outside but otherwise a moderate size dining area. Get there early. Enjoy!"
"Great little place with an abundance of atmosphere and charm. Service was fast and friendly, and food was delicious and priced appropriately. I would recommend the Rooster Balls for app or small entree. They were unique and delicious. I will be certainly returning and recommend you check this place out."
